I had taken my children to racecourse. A couple was sitting near us. Their 3-year old daughter was playing with a ball. As she grew tired of playing, she quitted and instead, started dancing. Her parents became happy and started laughing at her dance. I was watching this in a shock as children are neither taught or informed about zikr, amaal, Allah’s being, Ishq-e-Mustafa PBUH. Only one thing is placed in his heart - a big degree, best school, high standard books, best branded shoes, best quality of clothes, good society, best car…. These things are our standard. He does not get time to spend on the prayer-mat or with the tasbeeh nor does his parents give him the opportunity. A child knows that make-up has to be done at the mirror, food to be eaten in the kitchen, computer is required for internet and mobile is needed for SMS…. Or how much time should be taken out for partying outside. Her parents have not given her the lesson of giving time to the prayer-mat, to ask from Allah, and to get her problems solved through Allah. If the daughter gets married in a family where her mother-in-law spends time on the prayer-mat, recites tasbeeh, Quran Paak, offers salat and does zikr then the girl complains of falling ill due to her mother-in-law’s magic. This is what the cases which come to me complain about. Ignoring their own irregular habits, girls complain of mother-in-law’s sitting and reciting something for hours; that is because she has not seen this atmosphere; of giving time to the prayer-mat, talking to the Quran and a connection with the tasbeeh. Yes…!!! The moment doctor declares her incurable, and then they ask for people on wages to come and recite for them. They come, sit and recite the Quran or certain surahs or sit with the tasbeeh; they are pretending to solve our problems; instead they are deceiving us but we become satisfied with this. Teach your offsprings about the importance of the prayer-mat otherwise, life shall be entangled in such turmoil, deceptions and conflict that you shall keep on entangling among it.
